Mr. Trung Dung is the founder and chairman of BlueKey Services, a next generation engineering services firm, located in Milpitas, California. Mr. Dung received a bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Massachusetts and completed postgraduate work in Computer Science at Boston University. Most recently, Mr. Dung was the founder and chief executive officer of Fogbreak Software, a provider of enterprise compliance software for the manufacturing industry. From 1996 to 2000, he was the founder and chief technology officer of OnDisplay, a provider of business-to-business integration software that was later acquired for $1.8 billion. Mr. Dung is currently a founding investor and board member of DICentral.
Mr. Dung is active in civic activities, serving as a board member of non-profit organizations such as Viet Heritage Society and Interplast, and as an advisor to Vietnamese American Silicon Valley Networks. In 1988, Mr. Dung founded VietNet Forum, the largest electronic forum of Vietnamese overseas. Mr. Dung has received numerous awards including the American Heritage Award from the American Immigration Law Foundation in 2005, the Golden Torch Award from the Vietnamese American National Gala in 2004, and the "Forty Under Forty" award from East Bay Business, California.
Mr. Richard Wall is the Managing Partner of O'Donnell, Waiss, Wall & Meschke in San Francisco. With an A.B. and J.D. from Stanford University, Mr. Wall completed post-graduate studies in law at the London School of Economics. He also served as captain in the U.S. Army and the Army Reserves, and from 1992 to 1995 he served as a Member of the Board of Visitors of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point. Besides numerous volunteer activities in political campaigns, Mr. Wall has served on the California selection committee for White House Fellows; served as a U.S. Public Delegate for the United Nations Commission on Human Rights; was Commissioner for the San Francisco Bay Conservation and Development from 1997 to 2002; and was a Member of the Governor's Advisory Selection Committee of The Regents of the University of California from 1994 to 1999. Mr. Wall is a member of the American Bar Association, Litigation Section, and has been an Arbitrator, Judge Pro Tem, for the San Francisco County Superior Court since 1978. He was a delegate in 1987 to the U.S./China Joint Session on Trade, Investment, and Economic Law, held in Beijing, and served on the International Republican Institute Election Observation Mission in Cambodia in 1998 and in Mongolia in 2000. In 1996, he was an Instructor for the International Republican Institute Symposium on U.S. Commercial Law, held in Vietnam.
Mr. Dung and Mr. Wall join an exceptional group of VEF Board members, including Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, Secretary of Treasury John Snow, Secretary of Education Margaret Spellings; Senators John Kerry and Chuck Hagel; Representatives George Miller and Chris Smith; Mr. Frank Jao, President and CEO of Bridgecreek Development Company; Dr. Malcolm Gillis, Professor of Economics and former President of Rice University; Dr. Marilyn Patillo, Professor of Clinical Nursing, University of Texas at Austin; and Dr. Vo Van Toi, who holds a joint appointment at Tufts University in the School of Medicine and the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science.
