From May 15-30, 2005, the Soybean Biotechnology Seminar was held.  It wasthe first seminar carried out in Vietnam by leading American professors. It provided scientists, particularly in soybean biotechnology, with basic knowledge and scientific basesfor usingbiotechnology to enhance work in breeding new soybean varieties with high yields, resisting environmental stresses and adapting to a variety of Vietnamese ecological conditions.
