In addition, academic and recreational activities were held to enhance the connection among participants.
During the conference, four keynote speakers from Vietnam and the U.S, Dr. Nicholas Vonortas (Director, Center for International Science and Technology Policy, Department of Economics, George Washington University), Dr. Nam T. Tran (Vice General Director, Mobivi, Vietnam), Dr. Charles M. Vest (President, National Academy of Engineering) and Mr. Keith Luse (Senior Professional Staff Member, Senate Foreign Relations Committee), were invited to give talks, sharing their valuable experiences about leadership, entrepreneurship, career development and working opportunities in Vietnam. Furthermore, four proposals focusing on science and technology development as well as career growth in Vietnam were proposed and represented by the VEF fellows and visiting scholars.
