FAQs about U.S. University Application Process for VEF Nominees and Alternates
For VEF Nominees: For the five recommended schools that are part of the VEF Alliance, your application fee will be waived by the school in accordance with the VEF agreement with these universities. If you do not get an application fee waiver from any of these five universities who are members of the VEF Alliance, inform VEF of their refusal immediately. If you do not inform VEF of the situation and you pay the application fees to these universities, VEF will not reimburse you. For the list of VEF Alliance universities, please visit our website at: http://home.vef.gov/alliance_university.php
For VEF Alternates: For any of the five recommended schools that are part of the VEF Alliance, VEF will request that members of the Alliance waive the application fee for alternates for the VEF Fellowship award although the universities are not required to do so. For the list of VEF Alliance universities, please visit our website at: http://home.vef.gov/alliance_university.php.
